REBRANDING OF ICAM, ICOM AND WCOSM CONFERENCE SERIES

 

The International Institute of Knowledge Management known also as “TIIKM” has, over the years, hosted academic conferences in many fields including Marketing and Supply Chain Management. The conferences in marketing and supply chain management which were titled variously as “International Conference on Advanced Marketing (ICAM 2017)” and “World Conference on Supply Chain Management” have been held for several years.  The former was held for six consecutive years while the latter was held for four.

TIIKM has been successful in attracting to these conferences, high-profile speakers including academicians, researchers, industry leaders,  industry practitioners and students and provided ideal networking and publishing opportunities.  To accommodate an increasing number of requests to expand the “platform” to include other business disciplines we have rebranded the conferences on marketing and supply chain as the International Conference on Business, Commerce and Management Studies 2020 – (BIZCOM 2020). This new chapter of BIZCOM 2020 will provide an expanded opportunity for conference participants, speakers, students and exhibitors with a broader scope.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON

ADVANCED MARKETING (ICAM 2017)

 

Understanding the significance and the unfilled gap in Service Marketing in Sri Lanka, The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) in collaboration with the Department of Marketing Management of University of Kelaniya organized the International Conference on Advanced Marketing 2017. The main keynote speaker of the conference was Prof. A. Parasuraman – the world-renowned Service Marketing Guru who co-founded the SERVQUAL model which is widely used in Service Marketing worldwide.

The forum “Corporate Dialogue 2017 – The Industry Forum of the Year” was organized in line with the International Conference on Advanced Marketing (ICAM 2017) held on 26-27 January 2017.  Participants in this special his special forum were treated to several insights which could be applied to meet the unmet expectations of clients regardless of the type of industry.

Together with Prof. A. Parasuraman, Mr. Sulaiman Salim bin Al-Kaabi – CEO of Etisalat Telecommunication Company, Mr. Love Yadev, CEO of Amana Global and Mr. Ravi Bamunusinghe, Managing Director of Research Consultancy Bureau also contributed as forum panellists.  The forum was moderated by Mr. Ravi Jayawardena – CEO, Sales and Marketing of Maliban Biscuits, Sri Lanka.  More than 100 attendees took part in this forum representing various business organizations in Sri Lanka.

WORLD CONFERENCE ON SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

 

The World Conference on Supply Chain Management which attended by supply chain experts, policymakers, stakeholders and researchers in Supply Chain Management was held during the past few years.  This conference consisted of a discussion of best practices, keynote presentations by supply chain experts and solution providers, presentation of papers, on-going research, workshops and networking opportunities.

WCOSM 2018 was successfully held from 11th – 12th October 2018 in Hanoi, Vietnam under the theme “Reaching Excellence in the Supply Chains of the Future”. This conference was chaired by Prof. Dr. Alassane B. NDIAYE, a Civil Engineer and MBA is a Professor of Transport Systems & Logistics at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, founder, and Director of Qalinca-Labs, a major Logistics & Transport Systems R&D laboratory in Brussels.  Some of the renowned keynote speakers joined WCOSM conference were:

The conference was hosted by Qalinca – Labs, Belgium with Dolphin Sea Air Services Corporation, Vietnam, Bee Logistics Corporation, Vietnam, EDINS, Vietnam and ANVITA as Industry Partners. More than 100 delegates were attended to this conference during the past four years.

HISTORY OF 6 YEARS WITH 300+ PARTICIPANTS

The International Conference on Marketing (ICOM) provided researchers engaged in solving problems in various aspects of marketing and industry practitioners a global platform to exchange ideas. This Conference was chaired by Prof. Sergius Koku, a tenured full professor at the Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida, USA.  More than 300 participants have attended this conference series during the past six years.

5th EDITION OF MARKETING CONFERENCE

The 5th International Conference on Marketing 2017 was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) Sri Lanka in collaboration with Department of Marketing Management, University of Sri Jayawardenepurawas, Sri Lanka, Chiang MICE The Intelligence Centre for Business Events in Chiang Mai,  The Department of Marketing Management, Long Island University, USA,  and Khon Kaen Business School ,Thailand held on the 25th and 26th of May 2017 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.  ICOM 2017 was held under the theme “Market Intelligence and Business Analytics: Beyond Market Research”. The opening remarks of ICOM 2017 were made by Conference chair Prof. Sergius Koku and Mr. Isanka P. Gamage (Managing Director, The International Institute of Knowledge Management). The highlight of the inauguration of ICOM 2017 was the keynote address by Prof. Greg Sand (Founder and Executive Director, GLOBALTEAM International Marketing Consultants, Inc) and Prof. Sergius Koku (Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida, USA.

The conference consisted of five technical sessions, during which researchers from around the world presented their research findings. The technical sessions were: Digital Marketing and Value Creation, Strategic Social Marketing for Sustainable Business, Strategic Marketing Dynamic Capabilities for Competitive Advantage, Creating Value in Business and Market Intelligence for Purposeful Managerial Decision. ICOM 2017 provided a solid platform for researchers and policymakers from across the globe to share their research findings with one another and to discuss the innovative strategies and industry implications.

6th EDITION OF MARKETING CONFERENCE

The 6th International Conference on Marketing 2018 organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) Sri Lanka in collaboration with Department of Marketing Management, University of Sri Jayawardenepurawas, Sri Lanka.  This conference was successfully held on 11th – 12th October 2018 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The highlight of the inauguration of ICOM 2018 was the keynote speech by Mrs. Dang Thuy Ha Director, Nielsen Client Service, Vietnam, and Prof. Sergius Koku, Professor at the Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida, USA. The technical sessions were Marketing in the Digital Era, Marketing for Emerging Tourist Destinations, Marketing in Higher Education for Entrepreneurs, Sustainability, Ethics, Corporate Social Responsibility and Strategies in Marketing.
